Terms of Use

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Acceptance

By downloading or using ShiftBoss ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ShiftBoss on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Free trial and purchases

ShiftBoss offers a free trial period, after which a one-time purchase unlocks the full app. Purchases and the trial are managed by Apple through the App Store, and Apple's terms apply. Refunds are handled by Apple.

What ShiftBoss is (and isn't)

ShiftBoss is a self-control aid built on Apple Screen Time. It is designed to make distractions harder to reach, not impossible. You remain responsible for how you use your device. ShiftBoss cannot guarantee that every distraction is blocked or that the app cannot be bypassed.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Apple's standard license

ShiftBoss is licensed, not sold. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page.
