ShiftBoss uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) technology. During onboarding you grant Screen Time access and pick the apps to block. During your work hours those apps are shielded automatically.
Every break has to be justified. On iPhone 15 Pro and newer, an on-device AI reads your reason and rules on it. On other iPhones you pick the kind of break yourself. Either way the same rules apply: a genuine emergency is always approved (and free), while time-wasting is denied once your break tickets run out.
Yes. Blocking and the AI boss run entirely on your iPhone. No connection required, and nothing you type ever leaves your device.
You get a daily budget of break tickets. Stay within it and breaks are free. Go over budget — or leave your shift early — and you take on focus debt: a few extra blocked minutes. Emergencies never cost a ticket or add debt.
Open ShiftBoss, go to Settings, and tap "Restore purchases."
Settings → toggle "ShiftBoss enabled" off. Note: in strict mode, settings stay locked during a shift, and ending a break can require scanning your paired NFC tag — that's by design, to make bypassing hard.
Email support@shiftboss.click with your device model and iOS version, and I'll help.
